Privacy
We take one thing from you on this page, your email address, and only when you type it in. Here is what happens to it.

Who we are
Innov8 Global Advisory (21701 Stevens Creek Blvd #1022, Cupertino, California 95015, USA) runs Innov8 Global Labs, which organises Techstars Startup Weekend Moscow and runs this site. It is the controller for everything described here.
For people in Russia, the operator under Federal Law No. 152-FZ is our Russian company. Its name, address and registration numbers are on the Russian version of this page.

What we collect
When you join the waiting list.
Your email address, and the moment you ticked the box agreeing to hear from us. We use it to tell you when the next weekend has a date. Nothing else.
When you sign up for the dispatch.
Your email address and the moment you agreed. The dispatch is the occasional letter from The Yellow Door: cohort openings, party invitations, the odd confession.
When a page opens.
Our hosting provider records what every website receives, such as your IP address and browser, in order to deliver the page and keep the site up.
Visits.
The page viewed, the site you came from, your browser, device type, screen size, language and approximate location (country, region and city). We count visits with Umami, which runs on our own server. It sets no cookie and does not store your IP address, and a visit is not linked to your name or to anything you send us.
There are no cookies and no advertising pixels. The fonts come from our own server, so opening a page tells nobody else you were here.
Why, and on what basis
For your address: your consent, which you give by ticking the box next to the form. You can take it back whenever you like, and we stop.
For counting visits: our legitimate interest in learning which pages are read and how people find the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not sell your address, share it with advertisers, add it to any list you did not ask for, or train anything on it.
Who else touches it
Netlify hosts the site and keeps the form entries. Before an entry reaches us, Netlify runs it past Akismet, a spam filter. Google carries our email, including the note that tells us someone joined. Our visit statistics sit with the provider that hosts that server. Their servers are in the United States and elsewhere.
How long we keep it
- Waiting list
- Until twelve months after the next weekend, then deleted.
- The dispatch
- Until you ask us to stop, then deleted.
- Visit records
- For as long as the site runs. A visit record holds no name, contact detail or IP address.
- Hosting records
- As long as the hosting provider keeps them under its own terms.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to take a copy, or to withdraw your consent. One email to is enough. No form, no fee, no reason needed.
If you are unhappy with the answer, you can complain to your data protection authority. We would rather hear it first.
Security, and the honest limit of it
The site is served over HTTPS. Email itself is not end-to-end encrypted, so a letter from us is as private as any other letter in your inbox, and no more.
Children
This page is for founders, developers and designers. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under sixteen.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it. If the change affects an address you have already given us, we will write to you.
